I entered Cannes Young Lions with copywriter Jenna Morrissey, which resulted in us getting the opportunity to compete against 18 shortlisted creative teams from around Australia in a 24hr brief.

Challenge
Newcorp Australia asked us to prove the power of print for our Cannes Young Lion competition entry. I had to ask myself, ‘Do I have what it takes to make people buy more newspapers?’
Solution
It’s pretty scary that our worldview can be shaped by whoever writes our news. We’re all getting our news online. But online, anyone can be a reporter. Newspapers have been a trusted and reputable medium for years, which is power in itself.
Using powerful imagery to show the contrast between clickbate and unmanipulated news, we wanted to portray the idea in the simplest way.
